We worked on the sixth ramp at the Salumeria Antichi Sapori cafe. We set painting space in front of the business, on December 3rd.
For social distance, we set a banner explaining about the project with QR code for more information, and video show by iPad instead of handing paper flyers in person.
We visited the cafe on August and explained that the project provide to repaint and artist’s painting on the ramp, and made sure that the restaurant was okay with, however, the owner saw an artist’s pencil sketch for the ramp, he refused it and asked us to paint wine bottle and food instead. We said we were not able to do that because this is an art project and not a commercial project. We had no choice but repainted just blue color non-slip paint on the ramp and finished it. We were very disappointed and sad.
There were so many tore and scarred on the ramp. It was very bad condition.
One of our staff members, carpenter Yuki took care of them with a plastic paste.
We leave the repainted ramp at side of a door for dry.
